Last Call for Wakeboarding

As Fall has started to turn into Winter, My friend Dean and I decided that we needed to do 1 more trip to Utah Lake before we winterized the boat for the year. A weekend ago his kids were on Fall Break from school, so we headed out on Friday afternoon and launched the boat. The air temperature was very enjoyable at 73 degrees, but the water temperature was a different story. As we cruised out into the middle of the lake, where it was almost glass (perfect condition for wakeboarding) we threw in the thermometer to check the water temp. If you can not make out the reading in the pic, it was 48 degrees. We decided that it would be okay with our Wet Suits on, but as you can see from the Pic's, the wet suits were in the garage and we had to wakeboard without.

A quick jump into the lake and a shrilled pitched voice yelling "Hit It!", once pulled out of the water the run was very enjoyable. Just look at the smile on my face. Maybe I am insanse, but it was a lot of fun.

Wonderful job at explaining the condition of the water! Glass and freezing. Yep.

The kids went to swim lessons here yesterday and it was 75 outside. The pool was heated to 80, but as soon as they got out they froze. They could NEVER handle that adventure.

LOVE the panaramic! What a shot!
